The Gambling Industry Monthly Review – November 2022

Set between two major holidays, Halloween and Christmas, November is usually uneventful. In most industries but not in iGaming. The gambling industry saw many changes in the online casino streaming community, legislation and slot market as new games have been launched. Let’s take a trip into the past and recap the past month.

New Slots On The Market

Pragmatic Play releases up to seven new slots per month and November wasn’t any different. The provider started the month with a sequel of its popular slot Release The Kraken which comes with updated extras and a winning potential of up to 5,000x the bet.

Release The Kraken 2 slot offers a range of random features including Wild Respin, Shifting Stack Wilds and Guaranteed Win. Add a free spins round with win multipliers and a gambling option, and you have a thrilling game on your hands.

For all football lovers, the provider has prepared a special treat in a form of a Spin&Score Megaways slot, released in the honor of the FIFA World Cup 2022. With up to 117,649 ways to win across 6 reels, the winning potential rises up to 5,000x the stake, especially during free spins mode and with a help of multipliers and the Big Wild feature.

In the Towering Fortunes slot, players have the opportunity to taste the high life on a 5×3 grid with 20 palyines. Thanks to the Hold & Spin feature, money symbols and multipliers, the max prize of 6,422x the bet might be closer than you think.

Another worth mentioning slot is an addition to the Pragmatic Playâs popular Big Bass series. The seventh sequel named Bigger Bass Blizzard Christmas Catch kept the features that players loved and has elevated the gameplay with a revamped winter aesthetic while building on the big win potential of up to 4,000x the bet and progressive bonuses.

Casino Streaming Scene During November

After the Twitch announcement about changing its policy about regulating iGaming on the platform, the online casino streaming community left wondering what is the next step. As the platform stayed adamant, the enforcement of these new rules began on October 18th.

The news about Twitch changing the gambling meta policy found Roshtein in Canada, leaving the platformâs hardest-working streamer with a lot of spare time on his hands. After the new rules took place, the most popular casino streamer didnât stream for a big part of November.

Instead, he took that time to recharge, get to know Toronto a bit better and implement a new health regime by going regularly to the gym and sticking to his diet. Although not streaming was certainly a big change in his daily routine, Rosh decided to take the best of it and enjoy the well-deserved vacation.

Roshtein streaming on Kick.com platform

After more than a month, at the end of November, Roshtein returns to streaming slots, but not on Twitch. Instead, he did a test stream on a lesser-known platform Kick.com. While the announcement about this was launched only a few hours prior to the stream, thousands of people rushed to the platform to watch him play slots.

It was a bit surprising that Roshtein has chosen a pretty unknown streaming platform for his test stream. The streamer explained that Kick.com is maybe new and fresh, but he believes it has a bright future. Since the website is updated every day, it looks very promising. After all, the king of online streaming certainly wonât pick a platform he doesnât trust in, so it will be interesting to see what the following month will bring to the streaming scene.

Changes In Gambling Legislation

A closed consultation on the proposed new policy on the use of Innovative Technology Arrangements and the acceptance of virtual financial assets (VFAs) and virtual tokens was launched by the Malta Gaming Authority (MGA). Running until December 14th, the consultation invites input from relevant stakeholders on the MGA’s plans to introduce new rules and regulations regarding these areas.

Arguing that it was an attempt to bring in a tiered system of regulation âby the back doorâ, the Culture Committee of Swedenâs Riksdag has rejected a proposal to implement tighter advertising rules for higher-risk gambling products. In the version of the law published by the government, it opted not to implement a ban.

All Dutch iGaming licensees were ordered to stop offering cashback bonuses by the countryâs regulator Kansspelautoriteit (KSA). Alongside other types of bonuses, cashback offers are also banned in the Netherlands as they can encourage âexcessive participationâ.

Not many have changed regarding gambling legislation during November in the USA. The biggest news that marked the month was that Marylandâs online sports betting market officially went live on November 23rd.
